Chloe è una cagnetta chihuahua decisamente viziata che vive a Beverly Hills. I gadget a sua disposizione si sprecano, tra cui un collare tempestato di diamanti.
La sua padrona, Viv (Jamie Lee Curtis), è molto impegnata e la affida alla nipote Rachel (Piper Perabo) la quale, non appena riceve un invito per una vacanza in Messico, parte con la cagnetta. Rachal viene distratta dalle occasioni di divertimento e smarrisce Chloe che viene rapita da persone che prima la vogliono impegnare nei combattimenti canini e poi la fanno inseguire da un dobermann perché si sono accorti del prezioso collare.
Chloe, con l’aiuto di qualche amico a quattro zampe, inizierà così un avventurosa ricerca della strada per tornare a casa.
Beverly Hills Chihuahua è un film Disney per bambini che ricorda un po’ i vecchi cartoni come Oliver & Company, Gli Aristogatti o Lilli e il Vagabondo. Solo che oggi non bastano più animali parlanti per raccontare una storia di solidarietà animale, bisogna creare un contesto, che qui è l’ambiente ricco e lussuoso con glamour e gadget per gli amici a quattro zampe.

il film è carino, ma non fatevi ingannare dal trailer!il protagonista non è il cagnolino protagonista del trailer ma la sua amata Clohe…e anche un simpatico pastore tedesco che si offre di farle da guardia del corpo…e poi nel film non c’è nessun balletto dei cagnolini!ma cmq il film è carino e adatto a un pubblico moooolto giovane…
